ABOUT US
Was born from our meeting.
We often say that, before anything else, our relationship came first. Two people who met, chose to get to know each other, discover each other and build a life together. Only afterwards did the desire to create something emerge. A project capable of bringing together our passion for fashion, our experiences and our differences.
We grew up in the same country, but within two very different Italian cultures: North and South. Two worlds that can sometimes seem far apart, but that have always felt complementary to us. This difference became a stimulus. It pushed us to find our own perspective, but above all, to look deeper within ourselves.
At some point, the question became simple:
What do we want to say?
And how do we want to say it?
At first, it wasn't easy. Telling a story that was truly ours meant making ourselves vulnerable. Making space for our insecurities, our contradictions and that feeling of being different that had accompanied us for much of our lives.
Then we found the words: Feeling Alien in a Human Body.
That is the feeling that gave birth to everything. The driving force behind change. The starting point of DassùYAmoroso.
For us, fashion has always been a way to give shape to what we feel inside.
We also grew up influenced by our Italian grandmothers, who used to sew and make clothes at home. In post-war Italy, learning to sew was often a necessity. For them, it was an everyday gesture, a way to create, transform and care. As we grew up, we started experimenting with clothes. Altering them, combining them, transforming them. Especially during our teenage years, when being rebellious, unconventional and searching for your identity can almost feel like a necessity. We have always used fashion to express who we are. To give a visible form to what we feel inside.
And that is exactly what we want to do with DassùYAmoroso.
We want to tell people that if you feel different inside, alien, out of place, you don't necessarily have to hide it.
